8:30am: Wake-up call, way too soon

10:25am: Anatomy lecture begins

10:26-11:14am: Proceed to search for crafts on StumbleUpon and muffle my own laughter while browsing Regretsy

11:15am: Anatomy lecture ends

12:20pm: Andrew’s train should arrive

1:35pm: Andrew’s train does arrive

2:48pm: Andrew arrives at my apartment. We exchange Valentine’s cards and then leave for Shedd Aquarium

3:52 pm: We arrive at Shedd Aquarium in time to hear an employee explain to the man behind us in line that he “can’t purchase tickets for the water show in until the day of the show,” because they’re “live animals” and sometimes they “don’t feel like performing.”

3:53pm: Andrew gets excited about poison arrow frogs

4:01pm: Andrew gets excited about anaconda

4:05pm: Andrew secretly decides to make it his personal mission to photograph everything in the aquarium

4:35pm: Andrew finds a new buddy

4:40pm: After a billion tries, we get a picture of us together

4:59pm: I sneak a quick photo-op with my favorite little guy

5:05pm: Hugs and kisses

5:12pm: Andrew mourns the loss of his beloved Bears

6:15pm: We arrive at Adobo. Andrew scarfs down his chicken mole enchilada, then works on mine

To round out this little lovey dovey post, here’s one of my favorite poems by e.e. cummings:

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in

my heart)i am never without it(anywhere

i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing,my darling)

i fear

no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want

no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)

and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows

higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
